Through performance footage and talks, this event looks back on the production of Seaside Town, which was staged as part of the ROHM Theatre Kyoto Repertory Premiere program in 2020.

Masataka Matsuda’s Seaside Town was produced for the fiscal 2020 ROHM Theatre Kyoto Repertory Premiere program and staged in January 2021 as the latest work to join the repertoire. This event looks back on the production through footage of the rehearsals as well as talks with various guests. Exploring the relationship between theatre and video/film, which forms one of Matsuda’s own key concerns, as well as how to archive the creative process behind the play, the event also looks forward to the next contribution to the repertoire.
