A revival of the play first produced by the ROHM Theatre Kyoto Repertory Premiere series in 2020, it portrays the people who live in a certain seaside town.

Seaside Town was written by Masataka Matsuda especially for the ROHM Theatre Kyoto Repertory Premiere program. Long based in Kyoto and now in Tokyo, it was his first time to direct one of his own plays in Kyoto in almost ten years. Going back to a play script format while also further developing the creative approaches that marebito theater company has cultivated, the well-received play honed in on the true essence of presenting a story onstage. This is its long-awaited revival.
