Doryokukurabu Me vs. the World

Doryokukurabu creates comedies that deal with the phenomena and feelings of personal guilt that are negative or deemed negative by society, and, rather than showing contempt for them, elevate them into laughter that elicits sympathy. Me vs. the World, the new play by the company’s resident playwright, Danchi Goda, portrays the conflict between the leader and members of a theatre troupe surrounding a new play. In the process, it explores the people who place themselves in creative environments today, and issues related to the contemporary social contexts that form the background for this.
