PROGRAM
Nominated last year for the 60th Kishida Kunio Drama Award and winner of the 2016 Kyoto Culture Newcomer Prize, Akinori Yaginuma is the most-discussed playwright and director in Kyoto today along with his company, Karasuma Stroke Rock. Based on a short play produced in July 2017 in Sendai, this play explores new territory by removing the various physical and spiritual borders that exist in our everyday lives such as those between life and death, past and present, victim and non-victim, and health and disability.
