World-renowned conductor Seiji Ozawa launched this educational opera project in the year 2000 in order to pass on his musical experience and foster the next generation of musical talent. These superb opera stagings feature an orchestra of young musicians selected from auditions in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and more as well as leading singers and a top production crew. In addition to the public performance, the Opera for Children program is held for elementary school students in Kyoto Prefecture.
