Exploring new possibilities of happiness for people in a parallel world
Set in the fictional town of Gokumachi, the play explores what happiness means to the inhabitants of a different world, told through the intersecting stories of long-lost twins, the rise and fall of a local sports team, and the conflict surrounding a mayoral election. Carrying forward the essence of Gekidan Furosya’s Collective Violence Series, which deal with such themes as conventions, power, possession, and attachment, the ironic and poignant Dark Comedy shines light on our uncertain and dark age.
Don’t miss the chance to catch the latest play from the multi-award-winning and ever-evolving Gekidan Furosya.

Working as a stage director since 2016. Member of the art collective “RETRONYM.” He creates and presents performances, video works and texts both inside and outside of theaters, with motifs based on the human psyche and experiences.
