A story of three friends who travel around the world
Douce Révolution is an inclusive, relaxed performance for everyone. If you feel uneasy about the rules that usually accompany a theatre performance about staying quiet and not leaving your seat, don’t worry! Audiences are free to come and go at any point during the show, which features no bright lights or excessively loud sounds! Feel free to talk as loudly as you want! Douce Révolution is a performance where audiences never have to worry about behaving “properly.”

About
La Compagnie des Mutants
Based in Belgium, La Compagnie des Mutants has been creating performances for children and young audiences for over 40 years. At the heart of its practice is a commitment to making theatre that stimulates children’s imagination and sparks their curiosity. Blending poetry, humor, and unexpected twists, the company addresses profound themes without resorting to simplification or didacticism. Instead, it trusts young audiences to discover the deeper meanings beneath the surface of its stories. Through rich metaphor and bold yet meticulously crafted theatrical language, the company creates performances that are joyful, thought-provoking, and full of wonder.
Side-Show
Founded in 2009 by Aline Breucker, who studied scenography at La Cambre, the National School of Visual Arts in Brussels, and Quintijn Ketels, who trained in physical performance at the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels, this contemporary circus company has developed a unique artistic language at the intersection of circus and visual arts. Its creations include Wonders (2013), Spiegel im Spiegel (2017), Sho-Ichidô (2018), and Portraits (2021), all characterized by a visual aesthetic that combines sculptural imagery with acrobatic performance. In 2023, the company created its first relaxed performance, PERMIT, oh permit my soul to rebel. Its collaboration with La Compagnie des Mutants, A Gentle Revolution, has received widespread critical acclaim and continues to tour internationally.
