PROGRAM
Held annually to make noh more accessible and available to wider audiences, Kyoto Takigi Noh has become one of the iconic events of early summer in the city. Performed at night on a stage in Heian Jingu Shrine, illuminated by burning torches, the evocative setting makes for a mysterious and atmospheric occasion. Audiences enjoy a very special night of noh and kyogen from the Kanze, Kongo, and Okura schools.
