The long-awaited premiere of the legendary Kyoto-based multimedia performance group Dumb Type’s work previously only seen as a filmed performance without a live audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The globally acclaimed multimedia performance group Dumb Type presents 2020, its first new performance work since 2002 and originally scheduled to premiere at ROHM Theatre Kyoto’s South Hall in March 2020. The public performances were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, replaced by a screening in the same venue in October that year of a filmed version of the show. Kyoto audiences now finally have the chance to experience 2020 in the city where Dumb Type is based.
